A Special Thank You to Habitat for Humanity
Wednesday, 10 March 2010 12:17
habitat for humanity donationIt's not very often that one non-profit extends a helping hand to another in the form of a monetary donation, but that's just what Knoxville's Habitat for Humanity did today.  Bert Sams, Red Cross board member and Habitat for Humanity store director, presented the Knoxville Red Cross with a check for over $2,700 to benefit the Haiti Relief Fund.  The money was a combination of a percentage of total sales in the month of January and customer contributions.  The Knoxville Red Cross would like express our gratitude for this selfless act from the Habitat for Humanity and the dedicated, compassionate people we serve.
