The Knoxville Area Chapter Development Council was established in the fall of 2007 with the purpose of raising funds and public awareness in support of the mission of the American Red Cross. Comprised of young, energetic professionals from a wide array of fields, council members come together for the common goal of acting as Red Cross ambassadors, striving to bring the organization’s mission of preventing, preparing for, and responding to emergencies to the forefront of our community’s conscience.
Through orchestrating a variety of fundraising events, these upcoming community leaders embody the spirit of volunteerism while enjoying the opportunities to network and socialize with other area young professionals. Organizing several fundraisers each year, the Development Council continues to grow- both in community impact and the ability to inspire the next generation of volunteers to further the life-saving mission of the American Red Cross.
